Baylark wins five events in Class 6A finals

 

Arkansas State Meet Highlights

 

RESULTS

 

- Zach Jewell from Mena ran the state's fastest sprint double in the Class 4A meet. Jewell ran 10.79 in the 100 meters and 21.77 in the 200. He also won the long jump with 23-4.25.

 

- Jada Baylark, senior from Little Rock Parkview, dominated the Class 6A girls meet. She won the 100 meters (11.86), the 200 (25.13), the 100 hurdles (14.34), the long jump (18-11.25) and the triple jump (39-0).

 

- Nick Hilson of Nettleton ran 48.95 seconds to win the 400 meters for the Class 5A title. He also won the 110 hurdles in 14.50.

 

- Tieran Taylor from Catholic for Boys won the Class 7A 800 meters in 1:54.05.

 

- Conway senior Toler Freyaldenhoven ran 4:15.79 to win the Class 7A 1,600 meters.

 

- Ke'von Holder of Conway won the Class 7A 110 hurdles in 14.41 seconds.

 

- Nick Johnson from Lake Hamilton jumped 17-3 to win the Class 6A pole vault.

 

- Paris Perkins of West Memphis won the Class 7A sprint triple with 11.98w seconds, 24.65 seconds and 56.77 seconds.

 

- Elizabeth Gillette from Class 1A Trinity Christian ran the fastest girls 3,200 meters among all seven classifications with 11:09.89.

 

- Ryann Goodsell from Springdale won the Class 7A discus with a mark of 145-8.

 

- In the Class 1A meet at Harrison, Trinity Christian won the girls meet with 123.5 points and Lighthouse won the boys with 109. 

 

- In the Class 2A meet at England, Lafayette County's boys won the team title with 75 points. Magnet Cove won the girls crown with 78.5.

 

- In the Class 3A meet at Green Forest, Genoa Central swept the team titles. The boys piled up 91 points and the girls scored 127 points.

 

- In the Class 4A meet at Nashvile, Heber Springs' boys scored 78 point for the team win; Ashdown took the girls championship with 60 points in a one-point margin over Robinson.

 

- In the Class 5A meet at Hot Springs, it was the boys from Forrest City taking the top spot with 107 points. Magnolia was the top girls team with 95 points.

 

- In the Class 6A meet at Benton, Arkansas High School of Texarkana swept the team titles. The boys scored 104 points and the girls amassed 111.83.

 

- In the Class 7A meet at Conway, the Fayetteville boys won the team championship with 132.5 points and also the girls title with 127.
