Sean Dolan Pairs 1:50.23 800m with 4:10.76 1,600m - New Jersey Groups Roundup 2019

Dolan, Page Shine At Group 3 Championships

Sean Dolan of Hopewell Valley Central ran US#3 1:50.23 to win the Group 3 title on Saturday in New Jersey, and he also ran 4:10.76 to win the 1,600 meters. 

The NJSIAA Groups meets set the stage for the Meet of Champions next week.

Dennisha Page of Woodrow Wilson also turned in a big day at the meet when she ran 23.72 seconds to win the 200 meters, 12.07 to win the 100 and 55.66 to win the 400. 

Also in Group 3, Julia Trethaway of West Morris Central won the girls 3,200 meters in 10:24.13.

In the boys 3,200, Jack Stanley of West Morris Mendham won a loaded race in 9:08.18 as five guys finished within two seconds. 

Grace O'Shea from Ramapo won the 100 hurdles in 13.82 seconds and the 400 hurdles in 1:01.17. She also helped power the winning 4x100 relay team (48.29).

The Winslow Township girls ran 3:50.56 to win the 4x400 relay.

Tierra Hooker from Timber Creek won the high jump at 5-10. She also went 19 feet to claim the long jump.

Jason Santa Cruz from North Valley-Old Tappan won the javelin with 204-7.

Richmond Shasha jumped 48-8 to win the triple jump.

Abby Loveys of Randolph was a standout in the Group 4 meet with victories in the 1,600 meters in 4:47.96 and the 3,200 meters in 10:22.41.

Franklin's Mario Heslop won group titles in the 100 (10.56), 200 (21.45) and 400 (47.12).

Luis Peralta of Passaic ran a season-best time of 1:51.29 to win the 800 as he held off Ryan Lindrud of Ridge (1:51.81) and Jordan Kaplan of Monroe (1:52.10).

Egg Harbor Township sophomore Lauren Princz won the girls 100 (11.95) and 200 (24.53).

Shauntae Nelson of Piscataway clocked 55.17 to win the girls 400. 

Shelby Whetstone of Lenape ran 2:10.55 to win the 800 meters. 

Claudine Smith from Atlantic City won the 100 hurdles in 13.80 seconds. She also won the triple jump with US#3 41-6.

The Rancocas Valley girls won the 4x400 relay in 3:48.87 to claim a share of the team title.

Ramy Berberena of New Brunswick Twp edged Felix Lawrence of Freehold US#2 52.10 to US#3 52.12 in the boys 400-meter hurdles.

Alianna Eucker of Bergen County Tech won the girls javelin with 150-5.

Nils Wildberg of Princeton won the boys long jump with 23-11.

Junior Victoria Vanriele of Governor Livingston starred at the Group 2 meet, running 55.02 to win the 400 meters and 2:08.36 to claim the 800.

Sophomore Jada Ellis from Manchester sped to wins in the 100 (12.15) and 200 (25.03).

Lauren Wagner (4:54.80) and Emma McGill (4:55.66) of Vorhees went 1-2 in the girls 1,600 meters. 

Brielle Smith from Oakcrest threw 151-5 to win the javelin.

Madison Cappucio of Barnegat won the girls high jump over Rutherford's Jenna Rogers as both cleared 5-6.

Devin Hart of Point Pleasant Boro won the 3,200 meters group title for the third straight year. 

Jaheem Hayles of Abraham Clark clocked 13.95 to win the 110-meter hurdles and 53.34 to win the 400-meter hurdles.

The West Side boys ran 3:15.93 to capture the 4x400 relay title with the fastest time in the state this spring. James Bell, who ran on the relay, also won the high jump with a clearance at 6-11.

Stephon Kelley-Gordon of Carteret jumped 23-5.50 to win the long jump and 48-3.50 to win the triple jump.

Liam Landau of Pascack Hills cleared 15-6 to win the boys pole vault. Riley Larsen of Point Pleasant Boro made a personal best 12-6 to win the girls pole vault.

At the Group 1 meet, Thomas Hampton of Clayton swept the 100 and 200 with 10.69 seconds and 21.76. He also helped his team win the 4x100 (42.25). 

Senior Jared Cooper from Mountain Lakes ran 4:13.82 to win the 1,600 meters and 9:17.84 to take the 3,200. He was also part of the winning 4x800 relay squad.

Sam Aviles of Palmyra edged out Christian Martin of Whippany Park, 14.12 to 14.13, in a tight 110-meter hurdles final. 

Jayaire King led Willingboro to the boys team title with his victories in the 400 meters (49.76) and the 400-meter hurdles (54.84). 

Rebecca Ochan from Highland Park doubled up the 200 and 400, running 25.08 and 56.06.

Arianna Smith of Pennsville Memorial was second in the 400 (56.68) and won the 100 hurdles (14.84) and the 400 hurdles (1:02.11). 

Paulsboro won the girls team title behind a victory in the 4x400 and Amaya Reed-Clark's wins in the shot put and discus.

Union Catholic's girls dominated the Non-Public A group meet with wins in the 4x100 (47.36), 4x400 (3:49.46) and 4x800 (9:35.44). 

Kaira Brown from Kent Place ran 54.94 to win the 400 meters.

UC's Leena Morant led a 1-2 finish in the 800 meters, running 2:11.59. Teammate Jerika Lufrano led another 1-2 finish in the 3,200 meters, clocking 10:48.96.

Aliya Rae Garozzo from Paul VI swept the hurdles, with 14.15 and 1:00.95.

Paramus Catholic swept the horizontal jumps with Isabelle Dely taking the long jump with 18-10.75 and Tiffany Bautista winning the triple jump with 39-1.75.

Tim McInerney led the way for the victorious CBA boys, picking up victories in the 800 meters (1:53.24) and 1,600 meters (4:13.62).

Connor Melko of Bishop Eustace Prep ran 9:07.23 to take the 3,200 meters as CBA runners went 2-3-4 behind him.

Sincere Rhea, the indoor national champion in the 60-meter hurdles, won the 110 highs in 13.93.

In the Non-Public B meet, Kate McAndrew of Morris Catholic ran 2:10.29 to win the 800 meters and 57.02 to win the 400 meters.
