Klomp wins WOSSAA gold

With the encouragement of coach Mark Dewan, Craig Klomp took a "positive attitude" into the WOSSAA cross-country championships Thursday at Springbank Park in London.

The approach produced a gold medal in the midget boys race with a dominating performance that saw him finish 32 seconds ahead of the second-place runner.

The Grade 9 St. Michael student was one of seven Stratford high-school athletes to qualify for the OFSAA championships next week in Etobicoke.
