Madill senior girls take silver at WOSAA cross-country meet

For the 15 F.E. Madill Secondary School runners who competed in the WOSSAA championships in London, it was a day of both disappointment and triumph. Overall, the team performed exceptionally with 12 of the runners running their fastest race of the season.

In the Midget Girls division, hopes were high for Brianna Bird to claim a qualifying spot for OFSAA. The young runner had exceptional results all season often placing in the top 10 at big meets and winning the Huron Perth Championship last week. Unfortunately, at WOSSAA, Bird suffered an injury early in the race and was unable to finish. Her teammates, Marion Studhalter, Courtney Nesbitt, and Tristin Cook, in support of their fallen teammate were able to run 'personal best' times.
